Passing the Torch

FROM ROGER COX & ASSOCIATES:
The Roger Cox entities are proud to announce the acquisition of the Paa-Ko Communities development by RS East Mountain Properties, LLC.

Many of you may remember when Roger Cox, an Albuquerque real estate developer had a dream and a vision for an upscale Albuquerque East Mountain community, as he had discovered the allure of Paa-ko. We believe that in passing the torch to Steve Chavez and Rudy Guzman, they will continue with a new chapter in developing their vision for the Albuquerque East Mountain communities and the entire state.

In 1992 Roger organized Mountain Ranch, Ltd. to develop 3600 acres, built around ancient Anasazi ruins. Roger always referred to the “mystique of Paa-Ko” when describing this unique area. He envisioned life at Paa-Ko as a rare harmonious mix of privacy and community, nature and culture, tranquility and excitement. In phase one of the development, Roger was so pleased with the explosive sales of homes and home sites that he immediately pursued his master plan of developing a premier golf course capitalizing on the majestic masterpiece of the “Ridge”. Thus Paa-Ko Ridge Golf Club was created to enhance not only the Paa-Ko residential development, but also the surrounding Albuquerque community and the entire state. Roger’s dream at Paa-Ko was to integrate an upscale residential development with minimal impact to Paa-Ko’s exquisite location.

The majestic land that makes up Paa-Ko Communities enchants residents and visitors alike. Whether it is to make their home in Paa-Ko Communities, or to play a round of golf at Paa-Ko Ridge, the vision that Roger had, became a reality for all to enjoy.

We would like to thank all Paa-Ko home and lot owners for your support and loyalty through the past three decades.

Garbage

As reported by a resident, there have been  some minor issues with putting an unsecured garbage bin out on a windy day.  Our winds can be quite strong at times -- strong enough to open the lid of the bin and blow trash out into the road and neighboring yards.

Securing lid with bungee cords or, at least, putting a rock on the lid can help with this issue.  It can also help to keep wild animals out of the trash.

Just for fun, I have attached a photo of a bear cub,  taken at our place in Bozeman, trying to figure out how to get into a trash bin (empty by the way). It's so darn cute, I had to share.
