Chipping Project

Paa-Ko Residential Chipping Project

Our third grant-funded chipping event will take place on Saturday, November 16th (weather permitting). In this project segment, we will move south along Paa-Ko Drive (& side streets) from the Chaco Loop area to our southern entrance. We will also go up Canyon Ridge and chip material stacked on all its feeder streets.

Please cautiously drive past our chipping crew and
their equipment which may be partially in the street. Also, please do not offer to assist as this is extremely dangerous machinery.

Sadly, historically we have found only 1-in-4 residents and lot
owners participate in this unique opportunity to trim overgrowth and remove dead material from their properties. We’re hoping homeowners in the oldest part of Paa-Ko take the initiative to reduce forest fuel which endangers the entire development.

If you have questions, call Jim

Garbage

As reported by a resident, there have been  some minor issues with putting an unsecured garbage bin out on a windy day.  Our winds can be quite strong at times -- strong enough to open the lid of the bin and blow trash out into the road and neighboring yards.

Securing lid with bungee cords or, at least, putting a rock on the lid can help with this issue.  It can also help to keep wild animals out of the trash.

Just for fun, I have attached a photo of a bear cub,  taken at our place in Bozeman, trying to figure out how to get into a trash bin (empty by the way). It's so darn cute, I had to share.
