The Sheriff's Department advises that if you are tipping the trash collectors, do not tape an envelope with cash to your trash bin. Instead try to give it to them in person.  Last Tuesday, a person in a white SUV was seen grabbing an envelope on Canyon Ridge.. Around the holidays, it is common knowledge when the trash pick up days are, and then the generous tipping for the trash collectors becomes a big payday for the thieves.
