Paa-Ko Communities Sewer Association – March Update from President Mike Boice

All documentation has been submitted to the State of New Mexico fulfilling the requirements for moving forward with the Paa-Ko WWTP (Wastewater Treatment Plant) computer and software update.

The State of New Mexico website posted the notice with no protests.  The Sewer Association will be able to sign the $40K loan and move forward to place the Purchase Order as early as next week.  This means the update should be complete by mid-April!

As far as the $50K grant for engineering services to evaluate the system and define the upgrades that are necessary, we have released the RFP.  Seven different providers have responded.  A meeting is scheduled for all bidders on Friday March 15, 2024, to brief them on the sewer system as it now exists.  Bidders must have their proposals in by May 1, 2024.  This will be followed by source selection and a Purchase Order should be issued by June 1.
