EMWPA Spring Schedule
From East Mountain Wildfire Preparedness
We realize that it is important to let everyone know what EMWPA has planned for the spring. Here is a list of upcoming sessions through at least April 10. As we get closer to the actual presentations, we will send you a detailed flyer regarding each topic so you all can plan your calendar.
- February 21 - Los Vecinos Community Center, 9 - 12 noon. Wildfire monitoring in the EM - permanent camera systems for first responders
- March 7 - Vista Grande Community Center, 9 - 12 noon. Evacuation Planning, Go bags
- March 10,11 - USFS/NFPA Assessing Structure Ignition Potential (ASIP) training - very limited registration numbers
- March 21 - Sandia Ranger Station, 9 - 12 noon. Forest health, drought, bark beetles
- April 10 - location and times to be determined. Home Hazard Assessment workshop, defensible space tools
