Passing of Bruce Franks

 

FROM CHRISTIAN MCMAHON, PRESIDENT, PAA-KO COMMUNITIES HOA

It is with great sadness that I share the passing of Mr Bruce Franks. Bruce was the leader of this community from its inception for 20+ years, and the head of Mountain Ranch, our initial Developer. Bruce worked tirelessly to implement Roger Cox' vision for this wonderful spot in the East Mountains. He held positions of President and Treasurer for the Paa-Ko Communities HOA, Amenities, and Sewer Association. His dedication to this community is felt in every positive aspect of Paa-Ko. Please keep Bruce and his personal and extended families in your thoughts. He will be sorely missed, but remembered with a great fondness.

Special Meeting of the BOD - Paa-Ko Communities Sewer Association

There will be a special meeting of the Board of Directors of the Paa-Ko Communities Sewer Association on Wednesday, March 25 at 1:30 at the Paa-Ko Event Center

Some items on the agenda are:

-- Vote to approve the minutes of meeting held on January 22, 2026
-- Report from Prodigy Builders
-- Discuss-review-vote to approve selection of audit firm for PCSA for next 3-year term
-- Continued discussion and next steps to schedule community PCSA member meeting to cover issues pertaining to extension of service area to San Antonito Elementary School (outside of Paa-Ko Master Plan), and create process for a vote for approval by members.
-- Continued discussion and review of draft proposals from PCSA attorney for changes to the PCSA Articles of Incorporation and Amended and Restated Bylaws (and previous amendments)
-- Review and discuss the Easement and Tract Owners Agreement between PCSA and A&M Paako Ridge Golf Course
- -Review and continued discussion for member delinquencies and vote to approve subsequent actions to be taken by Board.

Donations Made to BCSO East Area Command

On Tuesday, March 3rd, on behalf of grateful East Mountain residents and businesses, Triangle Grocery, Lantern Ridge, and Whole Foods (on Carlisle) donated food and drinks to the East Area Command Office of the Bernalillo County Sheriff in Tijeras to cover all shifts for a 24-hour period in condolence for the tragic loss of Sergeant Michael Schlattman. 

Please remember to thank these businesses for their generous donations when you stop in.  Also, let BCSO know how much you appreciate their service as well as the sacrifices they make every day to keep our community safe.
